As a college student, I got a sizeable applied research grant for my AIAA Design Build Fly club. How would I put this on my resume?
Hi David,
There are at least two ways. The first would be to include this as part of your employment history/professional experience. I assume you'll be doing the research - so write your research up as a job. Then, when describing the scope of the role (the research) you are doing, explain that you received a research grant as part of a competitive application process (or similar).
The second way you might describe this is to have a Career Achievements heading and provide a description of the grant you have received. If this is a well known, or prestigious grant it would be a good idea to mention this as well - in other words give the impression that you have to be pretty special to get one of these grants!
Hope this helps
